Below is a list of local organizations that serve under-resourced or low-income community members. We have connected with them and built relationships along the way. San Marcos continues to grow and change so this list is updated accordingly.

  • 412 Kids

    412 Kids is Biblical principle based organization that serves children and their families. They are located in Lockhart, but serve nearby communities.

  • Any Baby Can

    Located in Austin, TX and primarily serves Travis County but offers Early Childhood Intervention services for Hays County residents.

  • Central Texas Youth Advocacy Program

    YAP is a nationwide nonprofit that provides advocates for families that need service plans and support.

  • Green Apple Therapy

    In-home Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapy for children with Superior Health Plan.

  • Hays Caldwell Women's Center

    HCWC is a domestic violence shelter for women and women with children.

  • Hays County Food Bank

    Food resource that provides weekly pickups from several locations throughout the county. They also offer emergency boxes for families in immediate need of food. There are even no-kitchen access boxes for families without stoves/ovens.

  • Hays County Veteran Services

    They provide veterans and their dependents access to benefits based on what the veteran qualifies for.

    Homelessness, unhoused and under-resourced resource guide for San Marcos.

  • Little Lamb's Ministries

    Diaper bank that provides weekly diaper distribution and parenting classes.

  • Mobile Crisis Outreach Team

    MCOT provides immediate mental health assistance for adults and teens experiencing a mental health crisis. They also offer up to 90 days of support by mental health professionals.

  • Parents as Teachers

    Program provides a parent educator, home visits, and group connections for families with children newborn to 5 years old

  • San Marcos Youth Service Bureau

    YSB offers year-round opportunities for children ages 11-17 such as volunteering, mentoring, tutoring, recreational activities, drug/alcohol awareness workshops and more.
